Is your computer dead? Or maybe a piece of hardware is malfunctioning? I'm sure if you know me then you are aware that I love to fix computers. And, in an effort to save up money for a computer of my own, I'm going to start repairing computers for people. I usually don't charge, but most people insist on paying me anyway, so why not? If your computer is having troubles, call the Belcher house if you know my number or email me at Admin@oldmanclayton.com. I'll evaluate the trouble and see how big the job will be.
Though I like to help people with computer troubles for free, if I'm going to afford a computer for myself, I need to make some money. I usually don't charge much, and it's definitely under what any IT "professional" would charge. If it's just something uberdy-simple, I won't charge, but for larger jobs I probably will.
I will do anything that I can, (besides the one in the bottom paragraph) so by no means am I limited to this list. I just put down what I could think of.
)Anyway, remember, if you have anything else that needs done, I'll do it-- this is just what I could think of.
Slow computers. I get alot of requests for this. I'll gladly try to speed it up, especially if you want to pay me for it, but I can't guarantee that it will be as fast as greased lightning. I have a number of techniques to fix this, but the best remedy is an ounce of prevention. Don't install billions of unnecessary programs. Even if you uninstall them it clutters the Registry (something Windows needs to be clear) and leaves a general mess everywhere. I will still try to speed up your computer, but be aware that the only way to get absolute new-computer-speed is to reformat the hard dive and reinstall windows. (Which I will also do, incidentally.)
Which isn't to say that it wouldn't be worth trying. In most cases the computer IS noticeably faster and responsive.
